Fargo, ND (Agnews890.com) – In a growing season that could be described as challenging ACSC ended up breaking a few of their own records for sugarbeets from previous years.  On the ACSC facebook page they thanked their dedicated growers and everyone involved in bringing in the sugarbeets.  The statement went on to say that they broke harvesting records this year.  Including a new record piling day of 1,223,362 tons piled on October 6th.  The previous record was set in October of 2021.  In an interview for Farm Talk Joe Hastings an ACSC General Agronomist says “we ended up with a very successful crop, largest tons per acre to date in history and the most tons piled”.  He said they ended up with just over 13.2 million tons of beets and around 32.4 tons per acre. “A very nice crop with decent quality too.”
