(ND Ag Connection) – North Dakota State University is inviting equine professionals and those passionate about mental health and education to a special workshop. Hosted by Bison Strides, the event is part of the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International and focuses on using horses in mental health and learning therapies.

Scheduled from May 13-16 on the NDSU campus, this workshop is a unique opportunity to delve into designing effective equine interventions, understanding the challenges in mental health and learning, and evaluating horse responses in therapeutic sessions.

The workshop, spanning three days, is priced at $650, with additional horsemanship skills test available for $250. Special discounts are on offer for Bison Strides volunteers and NDSU students, making it more accessible to the community. Those interested in enhancing their skills and knowledge in equine-assisted therapy have until April 10 to register.

For further details, interested participants can reach out directly to Erika Berg at her email erika.berg@ndsu.edu or by phone at 701-231-9611.

This workshop not only aims to educate but also to enrich the practices of those involved in the therapeutic use of horses, strengthening the bond between animals and humans for healing purposes.
