Northern Crops Institute

FARGO, N.D. (July 24, 2020) – The Northern Crops Institute (NCI) recently held their first-ever Market Update on Wednesday, July 15th, 2020. As NCI looks to find innovative ways to fulfill their mission, providing pertinent information to past course participants was a new opportunity to do just that. The webinar series was created to engage with past course participants, and offer market insights to those professionals.
During the hour-long market update, participants were able to listen in and gain new insights on commodities and trading. Michael Krueger, who has 40 years of experience as a cash grain trader, market advisor, commodities broker, and is the founder of the Money Farm, offered unique insight on the markets today. His expertise gave participants relevant information and fostered questions and discussions. Here is what Mike had to say about the Market Update.
“I think these Zoom webinars are a great way to reach out to former and prospective participants in NCI courses.” During the course of the webinar Mike discussed futures trading, bear and bull markets, along with the current events affecting multiple commodities. This knowledge is new insight that participants can put to work for themselves.
As mentioned before, this is the beginning webinar in an ongoing series. All past course participants are invited to attend these updates, and learn more about commodity markets, value added ag, and other topics. NCI strives to connect with past course participants, as well as support regional agriculture and value-added processing. By hosting market updates and continuing to provide new information, these webinars have and will support our mission to expand and maintain domestic and international markets for northern grown crops. They look forward to hosing more market updates and connecting with past course participants in the future.
The next Market Update will be held on August 19th, 2020 and feature crop economist/marketing specialist Frayne Olson, Ph.D.
