SAINT PAUL, Minn. – Minnesota Milk Producer Association (MMPA) is pleased to partner this
year with the Upper Midwest Dairy Industry Association (UMDIA) and the Midwest Forage
Association (MFA) to host the annual Minnesota Milk Dairy Conference and Expo at Treasure
Island Resort and Casino in Welch, Minnesota, December 3-4, 2019.
The conference agenda includes opening remarks from Jack Ulrich, entertainment from the
Johnny Holm Band, numerous speakers, and Minnesota Milk’s annual meeting. December 4 will
include a keynote address by Dan Undersander, a visit and remarks from Governor Tim Walz,
and the awards luncheon will be held at noon when formal recognition will be bestowed upon
Minnesota State Speaker of the House Melissa Hortman as Legislator of the Year, Ted
Matthews for the Bruce Cottington “Friend of Dairy” Award and Miron Farm as the Producer of
the Year.
“We’re excited to bring more opportunities to our attendees and the dairy community through
these partnerships,” says Lucas Sjostrom, executive director of MMPA. “There’s truly something
for everyone in dairy at this event.” The annual conference and expo provides allied businesses
and dairy farmers with learning opportunities to strengthen the vitality of the dairy community,
while providing networking, fun and entertainment for all attendees.
