(NAFB) – The USDA recently announced it is deploying some of its people across several states to help administer the COVID-19 vaccine more efficiently. National Pork Producers Council CEO Neil Dierks says his organization was happy with the move.

Just before the USDA announcement, the NPPC had launched a campaign to encourage pork industry workers to get vaccinated.

Dierks says the NPPC is working hard on the issue because vaccinations are vital to keep the nation fed and help it move past COVID-19.

He says the NPPC website has a lot more information about the need for vaccinations.
