FARGO, N.D. (ND FFA News Release) –  The North Dakota FFA Foundation (ND FFA Foundation) announces the appointment of Tommy Winders as its Executive Director. Winders assumed this new role on June 1.

Winders joined the ND FFA Foundation staff on August 1, 2019, serving in the position of Sponsor and Program Coordinator; a title he has held since starting.  Winders was appointed to the new position by the nonprofit’s Board of Directors.  He will take over responsibilities from Andrew Young, who had been serving as Interim Executive Director for the past year.

“I am excited and honored to step into this new role with an incredible organization that does so much for the youth of our state, and the future of agriculture,” says Winders. “I’ve been fortunate to learn and grow in the role of Sponsor and Program Coordinator, and am very much looking forward to serving the Foundation in a new role and navigating new opportunities and challenges that lie ahead.”

The ND FFA Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization of North Dakota.

“This past year was a great one for the ND FFA Foundation, and having Tommy join the team certainly was a bright spot,” says Andrew Young. “I am excited to see him step into the Executive Director position, and know great things lay ahead for the North Dakota FFA.”
